The Tutor
Hannah began her LAMDA journey at the age of 5 in her local village hall, she developed her skills over those next ten years and managed to accomplish Grade 8 in Acting and Grade 8 in Speaking of Verse and Prose, receiving a distinction in both. She also attended The Cambridge Arts and Music Festival on three occasions where she recited poetry in front of large audiences, winning a bronze and two silver medals.
“I was always in love with poetry as a child, the rhythmical dance of words twisting around your tongue telling a story, often with humour and rhyme, these were my favourite.”
Hannah’s love of performance also continued after her LAMDA accomplishments. She became a member of her local theatre group, where she played the role of Dibs in ‘Dibs in Search of Self’ and Nora in ‘A Doll’s House’. She then attended University, gaining a BA (Hons) Degree in Theatre Studies, where she received a 2:1. Here she was able to develop her acting skills further, adopting techniques used by different practitioners such as: Antonin Artaud and Stanislavski. Hannah then spent time tutoring for the 11+ before going on to obtain her CELTA from 'International House' London so she could teach English as a foreign language in the UK and Russia.
